Intermediate Bearded iris are 16 to 27 inches tall with their bloom season between the SBDs and the TBs. They are often a cross of Standard Dwarf and Tall Bearded and bring many interesting colors and patterns seen in Standard Dwarf Iris in a taller stalk. The highest award in this classification is the Hans and Jacob Sass Medal.
